Amnesia is certainly one of the most famous nightclubs on the island of Ibiza, inaugurated in 1970 thanks to the farsightedness of Maria Funcis, hippy aristocrat, occupying the spaces of an ancient palace of the eighteenth century, was the first outdoor disco. Undoubtedly one of the clubbing experiences of Ibiza was initially famous for the hippy gatherings that in the opening years came to the island from all over Europe, in the 80s it became the first club “after hours” open until the morning, in 1978 it even hosted Bob Marley. Two huge halls – the Club Room, a dark and cavernous cauldron, and the Terrace, a large glass-roofed arena that is flooded with natural light at sunrise – are guarded by the famous ice cannons of Amnesia that could strike at any time. Its name inspires the cheerful and carefree atmosphere that you breathe on the island but the disco owes its success thanks to the very eclectic musical programming. Amnesia covers the best of techno music, house, trance, dubstep and even organizes live performances. Like all mega-discos, the main dance floors can be extremely crowded and are famous for the incredible moments when everyone on the dance floor raise their hands together. The upper floor of Amnesia is the VIP area and offers a surprising view of the revelry that is on the track.

Some parties become very famous and become a symbol of Ibiza parties. We are talking about the famous Matinèe and the legendary party La Troya that become a symbol and are copied all over the world.
Monday is Pyramid, The Party that takes the place of the Cocoon arrived in 1999. Sven Vath was the first to bring techno and minimal music to the island.
In 2011 Togheter was born, a party with electronic music with a young audience.
Wednesday is dedicated to the legendary Espuma Foam.
On Thursday Abode and Do not sleep Ibiza, which took the place of Cream the longest-running party from 1994 to 2017.
In 2012 comes the Marco Carola Party on the island, it is the Music On, an event that immediately attracts the attention of the public becoming one of the most popular parties even by a VIP audience.
In 2017, Amnesia became the new home of Party Elrow (which until 2017 was held at Space), every Saturday Amnesia hosts the craziest and most famous party in the world.

Getting there:

€ 10-15 by taxi from San Antonio or Ibiza city, about € 20 from Playa d’en Bossa. The discobuses are in service all night from Ibiza city, Playa d’en Bossa and San Antonio and vice versa. There are also special free buses for those who own tickets provided by the nightclub or promoters that depart from Playa d’en Bossa, Port of Ibiza and San Antonio.
